Removal of skin lesions

When is it worth thinking about removing skin lesions?

When you notice a disturbing change (or many changes located in one place), which causes any discomfort. What’s more, it is worth thinking about the removal of a skin lesion even if the change is systematically irritated by items of clothing or while shaving.
IF SKIN LESION IS INCREASING, PLEASE CONTACT WITH DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY!

What could be the reason?

Skin changes in the form of lumps and nodules visible on the skin can have many causes. The following may be derived:

  • from the epidermal layer,
  • from skin appendages,
  • they can be neurogenic and blood and lymphoid derivatives,
  • may result from the action of viruses or genetic factors.

The most common are:

  • seborrheic warts,
  • viral warts,
  • hemangiomas,
  • fibroids,
  • pigment staining.

Aims of removing skin lesions

First, the goal of treatment is to assess the structure of the skin lesion. The specialist doctor performs a dermatoscope for this purpose, which allows you to find (without taking tissue sections) whether the change is dangerous or not.
The dermatoscope examination is the basis for starting the next stage of treatment, which is precise removal of the lesion.
