What the treatment involves
Cryolipolysis is a non-invasive method of reducing localized excess fatty tissue. The Coolshaping 2 360° device draws in a skin-fat fold and cools it to a temperature of about -10°C. Fat cells are more sensitive to cold than the skin, nerves, or muscles, so controlled cooling damages them without harming the surrounding tissues.
The damaged fat cells are gradually removed by the body's natural processes over the following weeks. The 360° applicators cool the tissue from multiple sides, which improves the evenness of the effect. The treatment does not replace obesity treatment — it serves to contour areas resistant to diet and exercise.
Indications
The treatment works well for fat accumulations resistant to diet and physical activity. The most common indications are:
- the so-called muffin top and abdominal folds
- love handles and the hip area
- saddlebags on the thighs
- fatty tissue of the arms and back
- the so-called double chin
How the treatment works
After a consultation and marking of the area, we apply a special protective membrane and the applicator, which draws in the tissue.
For the first few minutes, you feel pulling and intense cold, which quickly subsides. The treatment takes from 45 to 120 minutes, depending on the number of areas. After removing the applicator, we perform a massage of the cooled tissue, which increases effectiveness. Usually 2–3 sessions per area are recommended.
Results
The first effects are visible after about 6 weeks, and the full result after 8–12 weeks, once the body removes the damaged fat cells.
In clinical studies, the thickness of the fatty tissue in the treated area decreased on average by anywhere from a dozen to over 20 percent. The effect is permanent as long as you maintain a stable body weight.
Aftercare
The treatment requires no recovery. For the best results:
- drink more water to support the removal of the broken-down cells
- maintain a balanced diet and regular physical activity
- don't worry about temporary redness, swelling, or brief numbness of the area
Contraindications
We do not perform it in cases such as:
- pregnancy and breastfeeding
- cancer
- clotting disorders, thrombosis, and taking anticoagulant medication
- cryoglobulinemia and cold urticaria
- severe heart, liver, or kidney disease
- a pacemaker and metal implants in the treatment area
- a hernia at the treatment site

Does cryolipolysis slim the whole body?+
No — it is a localized method that reduces stubborn folds of fat in a chosen area. It is not a treatment for obesity or a substitute for diet and physical activity.
Is the treatment painful?+
It requires no anesthesia. At the start, you feel strong suction and cold, which quickly passes. After the treatment, the area may be numb and reddened for a short while.
When will I see the effects?+
You will notice the first changes after about 6 weeks, and the full effect after 8–12 weeks, once the body removes the damaged fat cells.
How many treatments are needed?+
