What the treatment involves
LED phototherapy (LED light therapy) is a non-invasive treatment using light emitted by LED diodes; at our clinic it is performed with the Celluma Pro device. Different wavelengths — blue light (approx. 415 nm), red light (approx. 633 nm) and infrared light (approx. 830 nm) — act on the skin at different levels.
Photobiomodulation involves stimulating cells with light of an appropriate wavelength. Red and infrared light supports regeneration, microcirculation and healing processes, while blue light acts on factors associated with acne and skin inflammation.
The treatment is painless, contact-free and has a very good safety profile. It is often used on its own, but also as a soothing and regenerating complement to other treatments, such as peels or microneedling.
Indications
We most often recommend LED phototherapy for:
- acne-prone skin and skin prone to inflammation
- tired skin in poorer condition and with a dull tone
- the need to support healing and regeneration after treatments
- skin requiring a soothing and anti-inflammatory effect
- prevention and care of mature skin as a complement to other therapies
How the treatment works
The treatment is preceded by a consultation and skin cleansing. We select the appropriate mode and light wavelength for the goal — regeneration, an anti-inflammatory effect or improved skin condition.
During the treatment, the LED panel (Celluma Pro) is positioned close to the skin while you rest in a comfortable position for usually 20 to 30 minutes. The treatment is completely painless, with no sensation of heat or discomfort, and requires no recovery time.
Results
Skin condition improves gradually, which is why LED phototherapy works best as a series of regular treatments. With acne-prone skin, a reduction in inflammation may be observed, and after regenerating treatments — support for healing and improved skin comfort.
The treatment is supportive and care-oriented in nature. The result is individual and depends on the condition of your skin, the frequency of treatments and how it is combined with other therapies selected by your specialist.
Aftercare
LED phototherapy requires no recovery time — you return to your daily activities right after the treatment. For the best effect, remember to:
- use gentle, moisturizing skincare
- use UV sun protection every day
- complete the planned series of treatments to maintain the effect
- combine phototherapy with other treatments as recommended by your specialist
- follow the skincare recommendations, especially with acne-prone skin

Contraindications (eligibility is assessed by a cosmetologist):
- taking photosensitizing medications and substances
- conditions involving light sensitivity (e.g. porphyria, lupus)
- photosensitive epilepsy
- active skin cancer and lesions of unclear nature in the treatment area

Frequently asked questions
Does LED phototherapy hurt?+
No. LED light therapy is completely painless and contact-free — during the treatment you simply rest under the LED panel.
Is it the same as a tanning bed?+
No. LED phototherapy uses safe diode light of specific wavelengths and does not emit harmful UV radiation the way a tanning bed does.
How many treatments are needed?+
The best results come from a series of treatments performed regularly, usually several times a month. Your cosmetologist sets the exact plan.
Does LED help with acne?+
Blue light acts on factors associated with acne and inflammation. LED is a supportive method and is most often used as part of a broader therapy.
Can LED be combined with other treatments?+
Yes. LED phototherapy often serves as a soothing and regenerating complement to other treatments, such as peels or microneedling.
How much does led phototherapy celluma pro cost?+
The treatment costs 150 zł. You will receive an exact quote during your consultation, and you will find the full list in the price list.
