What the treatment involves
This is a non-ablative treatment performed with an Nd:YAG laser in Q-Switch mode. The beam works photomechanically deep within the dermis — reaching even the reticular layer — without damaging the surface layers of the epidermis.
The laser pulse stimulates fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin while breaking up the pigment particles responsible for discoloration. The result is firmer, more radiant skin with no healing period.
Indications
We recommend this treatment primarily for:
- wrinkles and folds
- loss of firmness and skin laxity
- sun-induced discoloration and melasma
- enlarged pores
- dark circles under the eyes
- signs of photoaging
How the treatment works
The treatment is preceded by a consultation. The skin does not require anesthesia, although we can apply a cream on request — the procedure is virtually painless, with only a slight prickling sensation.
We pass the laser handpiece over the treated area; the beam reaches deep without disrupting the epidermis. The treatment takes 30–60 minutes.
Results
The skin becomes firmer and more radiant, wrinkles soften and discoloration lightens.
The effect builds over several weeks as new collagen and elastin fibers are produced; after the full series it lasts about 12 months.
Aftercare
The treatment requires no recovery time — you can return to everyday activities immediately. Still, remember to:
- use sunscreen and avoid intense sun exposure
- care for your skin according to the recommendations, which prolongs the effect
- keep your skin well moisturized
Our post-laser treatment protocol completes this care. The treatment works without disrupting the epidermis, so recovery is minimal and the effect builds up over the series; report any unusual symptoms to the clinic:
- in the first few days, cleanse your skin with gentle products
- for the first 72 hours, skip more intense physical activity
- skip the sauna and swimming pool until the redness subsides
- protect your skin from the sun and use SPF 50+, limiting the risk of discoloration
Contraindications
We do not perform this treatment in cases such as:
- pregnancy and breastfeeding
- bacterial or viral skin infection
- taking isotretinoin within the last 6–9 months, and photosensitizing medications
- scleroderma, radiotherapy and immune disorders
- cancer, vitiligo and psoriasis
- a fresh tan and very dark skin (phototype VI)
Final qualification is carried out by the cosmetologist during the consultation.
