What the treatment involves
Hydrobalans is a deep skin hydration treatment. It uses non-cross-linked, stabilized hyaluronic acid, which binds water and improves the tissue's hydration from within.
Unlike classic fillers, hydrobalans does not model volume or change your features — its purpose is to improve skin quality. The product also creates a favorable environment for fibroblasts, supporting natural collagen synthesis.
Indications
The treatment is recommended for dehydrated, lackluster skin. The most common indications are:
- dehydrated and dry skin
- loss of elasticity and firmness
- fine wrinkles and dehydration lines
- a grey, tired complexion
- an overall improvement in skin smoothness and firmness
How the treatment works
The treatment is preceded by a medical consultation to verify indications and contraindications.
We numb the skin with a cream and inject the stabilized hyaluronic acid with a blunt-tipped microcannula or a needle into carefully selected layers of the skin. The procedure takes 30 to 60 minutes.
Results
The hyaluronic acid gradually binds water, so the result intensifies over the following weeks — the skin becomes firmer, smoother, and more radiant.
The effect usually lasts 6 to 12 months — the best results come from a series of treatments with maintenance.
Aftercare
This is a minimally invasive treatment and usually requires no recovery. It is still worth remembering to:
- expect possible localized swelling lasting up to 2 days
- not massage the injection sites for the first few days
- avoid the sauna, tanning bed, and intense exertion for about 2 weeks
- drink more water and use sun protection
This is complemented by our protocol for hydrating treatments with hyaluronic acid. The effect builds over the following weeks and is best after a series; if unusual symptoms appear, contact the clinic:
- in the first days, wash your face only with a gentle cleanser
- wait about 24 hours before wearing full makeup
- apply cool compresses in case of swelling
- to protect against discoloration, avoid the sun for up to 6 months and use a UV 50+ filter
Contraindications
We do not perform the treatment in cases such as:
- pregnancy and breastfeeding
- cancer undergoing treatment
- active autoimmune diseases
- hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid
- a tendency to hypertrophic scarring, as well as inflammation and skin infections (herpes, acne)
