What the treatment involves
Hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally present in the skin that binds water and is responsible for its firmness and hydration. With age its amount decreases — the skin loses volume, and wrinkles and folds appear.
During the treatment the doctor administers the hyaluronic acid product deep into the skin using a thin needle or a blunt-tipped microcannula. The gel replenishes volume loss, smooths wrinkles and contours selected areas — lips, cheeks, nasolabial folds. Hyaluronic acid can be administered linearly along a wrinkle, in the form of deposits or as so-called hyaluronic threads.
Indications
The treatment works well for smoothing wrinkles and restoring facial volume. The most common indications are:
- wrinkles and nasolabial folds
- so-called marionette lines (downturned corners of the mouth)
- loss of cheek volume
- contouring of the lips, nose and facial oval
- filling of volume loss and scars (e.g. post-acne)
- hydration and improvement of skin quality
How the treatment works
The treatment is preceded by a consultation and assessment of indications. We cleanse the skin and numb it with a lidocaine cream, and for people with a low pain threshold we use stronger anesthesia.
We administer the product with a needle or microcannula, then shape the gel within the tissues. The procedure usually lasts from 30 to 90 minutes, depending on the area, and requires no downtime.
Results
The smoothing of wrinkles is visible immediately — as soon as you leave the office. The full, final effect becomes apparent after approx. 2 weeks, once the gel has bound water and settled into the tissues.
The result usually lasts from 6 to 12 months, in some cases even up to 18 — depending on the product, the area, metabolism and lifestyle.
Aftercare
The treatment requires no downtime — you return to your activities right away. During the first days, however, it is worth remembering to:
- not massage or press the injection site (unless the doctor advises otherwise)
- avoid the sauna, solarium and pool for approx. 2 weeks
- drink more water and limit alcohol
- expect possible swelling for up to 2 days and minor bruising, which fades on its own
We have also compiled a detailed set of clinical recommendations worth remembering after a filler injection. We assess the full effect after approx. 2 weeks, and temporary swelling and tenderness are natural — in case of atypical symptoms, contact the clinic:
- postpone air travel for at least 24 hours
- for the first day, sleep on your back with your head raised at about a 45° angle
- do not apply makeup on the day of the treatment, and for the next 2–3 days apply and remove it carefully
- until the swelling subsides, protect the area from sun, frost and wind
- for at least 2 weeks, drink 1.5–2 liters of water a day
- postpone scheduled dental hygiene treatments for approx. 8 weeks
Contraindications
We do not perform the treatment, among others, in cases of:
- pregnancy and breastfeeding
- hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid
- active-phase autoimmune diseases
- a tendency to hypertrophic scars and keloids
- inflammation and skin infections at the treatment site (herpes, acne)
The final qualification is carried out by the doctor during the consultation.

Frequently asked questions
Is the treatment painful?+
It is almost painless — we first numb the skin with a lidocaine cream, and the microcannula limits discomfort and the risk of bruising.
How long does the effect last?+
Usually from 6 to 12 months, sometimes up to 18 — this depends on the product, the area and your metabolism.
When is the result visible?+
The smoothing of wrinkles is visible immediately, and the full effect after approx. 2 weeks, once the gel has stabilized.
Is the effect reversible?+
Yes — if needed, hyaluronic acid can be dissolved with the enzyme hyaluronidase.
Will there be visible marks after the treatment?+
Minor bruising or slight swelling lasting up to a few days may appear, which resolves on its own.
How many treatments are needed?+
Usually one treatment is enough to achieve a satisfying effect.
How much does filling with hyaluronic acid cost?+
The first milliliter of the product costs 1800 zł, each subsequent one during the same visit — 1650 zł. The doctor determines the number of milliliters during the consultation, depending on the area and depth of the wrinkles.
Which wrinkles does hyaluronic acid work on?+
It works best on wrinkles and folds resulting from loss of volume: nasolabial folds, marionette lines, sunken cheeks. For expression lines (forehead, crow's feet) botulinum toxin is more effective — we often combine both methods within a single treatment plan.
Where on the face can hyaluronic acid be administered?+
On the face, we most often administer hyaluronic acid in the nasolabial folds, marionette lines, cheeks, lip area and chin. The doctor selects the injection sites and the amount of product to suit the facial structure during the consultation.
