What the treatment involves
This treatment combines two technologies: microneedling and radiofrequency (radio waves). Fine needles deliver RF energy to an adjustable depth of 0.5 to 3.5 mm, heating the dermis with precision.
Controlled points of coagulation and heating initiate regeneration and the formation of new collagen structures. Because the energy is delivered deep, the epidermis is largely spared, which shortens recovery.
Indications
We recommend this treatment primarily for:
- loss of firmness and skin tone
- wrinkles
- scars, including acne scars
- stretch marks
- uneven skin texture and enlarged pores
- acne-prone skin
How the treatment works
We numb the skin with a lidocaine cream. The cosmetologist selects the needle depth and radio wave parameters to match your concern.
The handpiece inserts the needles into the skin while emitting radio waves that heat the surrounding tissue. The treatment takes 15–45 minutes.
Results
Right after the treatment, collagen fibers contract, producing a lifting effect; over time new collagen structures form, improving skin tone and texture.
Some effects are visible immediately, while the full result develops over 2–5 months and usually lasts 4–12 months.
Aftercare
Redness usually subsides after about 3 hours, although in some people it may last up to 3 days; small scabs may appear. Remember to:
- use the regenerating and moisturizing creams recommended by your cosmetologist
- avoid the sauna, hot water and rubbing your skin during the first week
- apply makeup only after 24 hours and protect your skin with SPF
Our protocol following treatments with high-energy devices completes this care. The tightening and skin remodeling effect builds over 4–12 weeks; report any unusual symptoms to the clinic:
- for swelling, use cool compresses and do not massage the treated area
- until the swelling subsides, protect your skin from the sun, frost and wind
- do not put pressure on the treated area for 2–3 days
- use SPF 50+ for up to 6 months, and postpone planned dental procedures by about 8 weeks
Contraindications
We do not perform this treatment in cases such as:
- pregnancy and breastfeeding
- autoimmune diseases and a tendency to form keloids
- a pacemaker or metal implants in the treatment area
- cancer and uncontrolled diabetes
- surgical procedures in this area within the last 3 months
- active skin infections and taking immunosuppressive medications
Final qualification is carried out by the cosmetologist during the consultation.
