What the treatment involves
This is a treatment combining platelet-rich plasma (PRP) with platelet-rich fibrin (i-PRF) — two products obtained from your own blood. The fibrin forms a natural scaffold that gradually releases growth factors.
Thanks to this the skin's regeneration is deeper and longer than with plasma alone. The treatment supports tissue rebuilding, improves skin tone, complexion and hydration, and the material derived from you minimizes the risk of an allergic reaction.
Indications
We most often use biostimulation with plasma and fibrin for:
- a need for deep skin regeneration and rejuvenation
- loss of firmness, elasticity and reduction of wrinkles
- improving skin complexion and hydration
- prevention and treatment of hair loss
- supporting the healing of slow-healing soft tissues
How the treatment works
The treatment is preceded by a consultation. We draw a small amount of blood and centrifuge it, obtaining plasma (PRP) and fibrin (i-PRF) separately.
After anesthesia with a numbing cream we administer the products by microinjections into the selected areas. The treatment lasts 45–60 minutes, and for a few hours minor subcutaneous raised areas and redness may be visible.
Results
First effects usually appear after about 2–3 weeks from the first treatment, and the result deepens over the whole series.
Depending on the skin's condition and the area, the effect lasts from 4 to 12 months. We recommend maintenance treatments.
Aftercare
The treatment practically does not take you out of activities — you can return to daily tasks immediately. Remember to:
- for 24 h avoid physical exertion, the sauna, solarium and alcohol
- do not massage or press the injection sites for a few hours
- use gentle care and sun protection
This is complemented by our general rules after injections of platelet-rich fibrin. The process of tissue healing and remodeling takes weeks, which is why we assess the full result with a delay; report any unusual ailments to the clinic:
- wash the treated area with a gentle, mild product while it heals
- cold compresses can help with swelling
- postpone makeup in that area by about 72 hours
- stay hydrated — 1.5–2 l of water a day for 2 weeks
- protect the skin from the sun (even for up to six months) with UV 50+ to prevent discoloration
Contraindications
We do not perform it in cases including:
- blood diseases and clotting disorders
- cancer and active autoimmune diseases
- skin inflammation and active herpes
- pregnancy and breastfeeding
- uncontrolled diabetes and treatment with anticoagulants and aspirin
