What the treatment involves
Calcium hydroxyapatite is a dual-action filler. The product contains calcium microspheres suspended in a gel - a component naturally present in bones and teeth, used in medicine for over 20 years.
After being injected into the skin, the gel restores volume right away, while the microspheres form a kind of scaffold that stimulates fibroblasts to produce their own collagen (neocollagenesis). As a result, the effect is two-stage: immediate filling and a long-term improvement in the quality and density of the skin.
Indications
The treatment is recommended for loss of volume and sagging skin. The most common indications are:
- smoothing deeper wrinkles and folds
- improving the facial contour and oval
- sculpting the jaw angle and chin
- restoring volume and improving the skin quality of the hands
- a natural lifting and firming effect
How the treatment works
The treatment is preceded by a medical consultation and an assessment of indications.
We numb the skin with a cream, and the product - usually containing an added anaesthetic agent - is administered with a microneedle or microcannula into the areas of volume loss. The procedure takes 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the area.
Results
The filling effect is visible immediately. The biostimulating action appears later: the first results of collagen production after approx. 3-4 weeks, and the full effect after approx. 4 months.
The result usually lasts from 12 to 18 months, and in some cases longer - depending on skin type, metabolism and lifestyle.
Aftercare
The treatment usually does not require recovery time, but during the first 24 hours redness, swelling, tenderness or minor bruising may occur. It is worth:
- not massaging or pressing the injection site unless the physician advises otherwise
- avoiding the sauna, solarium and intense exercise for approx. 2 weeks
- applying cold compresses if swelling appears
- contacting the physician if a painful hardening or inflammatory reaction persists
In addition, we apply the full post-treatment protocol for fillers. The volume effect is visible right away, while the biostimulation builds up over the following weeks; report any concerning reaction to the physician:
- avoid air travel for at least 24 hours
- during the first nights sleep on your back with your head raised (approx. 45 degrees)
- on the day of the treatment skip makeup, and for 2-3 days apply and remove it carefully
- protect the injection site from sun, frost and wind until the swelling subsides
- drink 1.5-2 litres of water a day for at least 2 weeks
- postpone scheduled dental hygiene by approx. 8 weeks after the treatment
Contraindications
We do not perform the treatment in cases such as:
- pregnancy and breastfeeding
- hypersensitivity to the product's ingredients
- autoimmune diseases in an active phase
- a tendency to hypertrophic scars and keloids
- inflammation and skin infections at the treatment site (herpes, acne)
Hydroxyapatite is not injected into the lips - the final qualification is carried out by the physician during the consultation.

Frequently asked questions
How does hydroxyapatite differ from hyaluronic acid?+
Besides immediate filling, it strongly stimulates the production of your own collagen, which is why the effect builds up and usually lasts longer.
Does the treatment hurt?+
It is well tolerated - we use a numbing cream, and the product usually contains an added anaesthetic agent.
When will I see the full effect?+
The filling is visible right away, and the full biostimulation effect after approx. 4 months.
How long does the result last?+
Usually from 12 to 18 months, in some cases longer.
Is the effect reversible?+
Unlike hyaluronic acid, it is not dissolved with hyaluronidase, which is why precise qualification and technique are crucial.
Will I return to my activities right away?+
Yes - most people do not require recovery time, although redness and swelling are possible in the first 24 hours.
How much does calcium hydroxyapatite cost?+
The treatment costs 2000 zł. You will receive an exact quote during the consultation, and the full list can be found in the price list.
