Nose Correction with Hyaluronic Acid

Nose correction with hyaluronic acid, i.e. so-called non-surgical rhinoplasty, is a way to improve the shape of the nose without surgery. The doctor precisely administers hyaluronic acid gel into selected areas, evening out irregularities and contouring the outline.

Hyaluronic acid has a gel-like consistency, which makes it possible to smooth out a bump, lift a drooping nose tip or mask minor irregularities. It is a reversible treatment — an important difference compared with surgery.

The treatment allows selected imperfections of the nose to be corrected without a scalpel. The most common indications are:

• irregularities and a small bump on the bridge of the nose
• a drooping or poorly defined nose tip
• visually slimming and straightening the nose
• filling volume loss at the base
• improving asymmetry and minor flaws after a previous operation

The treatment is preceded by a consultation and an assessment of whether the desired effect can be achieved by a non-surgical method.

We apply a numbing cream to the skin of the nose. We administer the product with a microcannula or needle, using a linear technique or in the form of deposits. The procedure lasts from 30 to 60 minutes and requires no downtime.

The effect is visible right after the treatment — the nose looks straighter and more harmonious. The final result becomes apparent after approx. 2 weeks, once the gel has stabilized.

The effect usually lasts from 6 to 12 months, in some cases up to 18 — depending on the product, metabolism and lifestyle.

The treatment requires no downtime, but during the first days it is worth taking care of a few things:

• do not press or massage the nose and avoid pressure from glasses if the doctor advises so
• avoid the sauna, solarium and intense exertion for approx. 2 weeks
• drink more water, limit alcohol
• expect possible slight swelling or minor bruising lasting up to 7 days

Additionally, please observe the clinical rules of conduct after a hyaluronic acid injection. You will be able to assess the shape of the nose fully after approx. 2 weeks; this area is richly vascularized, so report any atypical symptom (severe pain, blanching of the skin) immediately:

• do not travel by plane for the first 24 hours
• in the first days, sleep on your back with your head raised at about a 45° angle
• do not wear makeup on the day of the treatment, and for 2–3 days handle makeup gently
• protect the nose from sun, frost and wind until the swelling subsides
• drink plenty of water (1.5–2 l a day) for at least 2 weeks
• postpone scheduled dental hygiene by about 8 weeks

We do not perform the treatment, among others, in cases of:

• pregnancy and breastfeeding
• hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid
• active-phase autoimmune diseases
• a tendency to hypertrophic scars and keloids
• inflammation and skin infections in the nose area (herpes, acne)

The nose area is particularly demanding due to the course of the blood vessels — the final qualification is carried out by the doctor during the consultation.
