What the treatment involves
Lip augmentation and contouring with hyaluronic acid is a treatment that gives the lips volume, hydration and definition, while also allowing their shape and symmetry to be improved. Hyaluronic acid binds water, so the lips also become better hydrated.
The doctor administers the product with a needle or microcannula, which glides through the tissue, minimizing damage to blood vessels and the risk of bruising. The goal is not to "overdo" it, but to emphasize the natural shape of the lips.
Indications
The treatment allows you both to augment the lips and to correct minor flaws. The most common indications are:
- lips that are too small or a desire for subtle augmentation
- lip asymmetry
- loss of volume and definition of the lip line with age
- dryness and poor lip color
- laxity related to photoaging
- correction of a previous, uneven filling
How the treatment works
The treatment is preceded by a consultation and agreement on the desired shape and volume.
We numb the lips with a lidocaine cream (on request we use anesthesia similar to that used in dentistry). We administer the product with a microcannula, distributing the gel evenly. The procedure lasts from 30 to 60 minutes.
Results
The initial effect is visible immediately, however during the first days the lips may be swollen. We assess the intermediate effect after approx. 72 hours, once the swelling has gone down, and the full, final result after approx. 2 weeks.
The effect usually lasts from 6 to 12 months, in some cases up to 18 — depending on the product, metabolism and lifestyle.
Aftercare
After the treatment the lips may be swollen and tender for 1–2 days — this is normal. To help the product settle nicely:
- do not massage or knead the lips (small lumps usually resolve within 2 weeks)
- for approx. 3 days avoid the sauna, pool, solarium and gym
- limit alcohol and cigarettes, drink more water
- avoid hot drinks and heavy lip makeup during the first day
- if you are prone to herpes, inform the doctor — they may recommend preventive treatment
Our clinical protocol for fillers additionally applies. We assess the intermediate lip effect after approx. 72 hours, and the final one after approx. 2 weeks; in case of severe pain or worrying symptoms, contact the clinic:
- do not fly for the first day
- for the first nights, sleep on your back with your head raised at about a 45° angle
- until the swelling subsides, protect the lips from frost, wind and sun
- stay well hydrated — 1.5–2 l of water a day for approx. 2 weeks
- hold off on scheduled dental hygiene for approx. 8 weeks
Contraindications
We do not perform the treatment, among others, in cases of:
- pregnancy and breastfeeding
- hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid
- active herpes or other inflammation in the lip area
- active-phase autoimmune diseases
- a tendency to hypertrophic scars and keloids
The final qualification is carried out by the doctor during the consultation.

Frequently asked questions
Will my lips look natural?+
Yes — we match the amount of product to your proportions, and the goal is to emphasize the natural shape, not to "overdo" it.
Is the treatment painful?+
We first numb the lips with a lidocaine cream, so the treatment is well tolerated; the microcannula additionally limits discomfort.
Why are the lips swollen after the treatment?+
This is a natural reaction — the swelling usually goes down within 2–3 days, and the final effect is visible after approx. 2 weeks.
How long does the effect last?+
Usually from 6 to 12 months, sometimes up to 18 — this depends on your metabolism and lifestyle.
Is the effect reversible?+
Yes — hyaluronic acid can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if the effect does not meet expectations.
When will I return to work?+
Right away, although for the first 1–2 days the lips may be slightly swollen.
How much does lip augmentation cost?+
The first ampoule of hyaluronic acid (0.7 or 1 ml) costs 1800 zł, each subsequent one during the same visit — 1650 zł. The consultation is included in the price of a treatment performed during the same visit.
How many milliliters are needed for a natural effect?+
Most often one ampoule is enough (0.7–1 ml). The amount depends on the lip structure and the desired effect — subtle hydration and defining the contour requires less, noticeable augmentation more. During the consultation, the doctor will show you what to expect before anything is administered.
